Employment matters

The Personnel Advisory Service is part of the range of services to develop voluntary organisations through the CVS Community Development Team.

We can give advice and information on personnel issues that is appropriate to the unique nature of the voluntary sector and is relevant to your own organisation.

Topics include:

• recruitment and selection;
• employment rights and legal responsibilities;
• contracts of employment;
• equality;
• policies and procedures managing staff;
• discipline and grievance; and
• dismissal.

We have a range of model policies and procedures which we will share with members to help you produce a policy which fits your organisation's needs.

We regularly contribute to the Derby CVS e-bulletin to keep members aware of the latest developments in employment law and good practice.
