Helping Brighter Futures for Rural Communities

Thanks to Defra’s Rural Social and Community Programme, Derbyshire Rural Community Council has secured funding for a new round of grants of up to £3000 to be awarded to rural communities across Derbyshire to assist in the production of Parish Plans.

Over 30 plans have already been completed by parishes across the county helping to mobilise community spirit and encourage a brighter future for those communities.

Grant applications are awarded on a first come, first served basis and will be accepted up until the end of March 2008. DRCC’s Rural Officers are on hand to provide advice and support in the application process and to help get Plans started.
